LittleBigPlanet3: Pros/Cons

Hey guys, here is a list SO FAR, of things that I feel that let me down, and what didn't on the PS3 version of LBP3.
1. Some LBP2 such as the controllinator have changed. In the LBP3 Controllinator, you cannot place a wire to a button input (for e.g. left/right/up/down inputs.)

2. Bugs. I find my sackboy constantly breaking, levels when played in play mode, alter the create mode by saving what you did without memorisers etc,

3. When I was implementing a roll feature for my upcoming project/s, I found that if you try placing the rotater for the roll on a broadcast microchip, it will not allow sackboy to rotate.

4. When I make a custom player, and use either the spawn as: or character changer, if the character dies, he or she cannot roll or do other bits of logic. I am currently trying to fix this by using timers from spawn, which will then turn on all the microchips rather than them being automatically off after death (a theory)

5. Amount of lag in multiplayer, even if the other player is in the same suburb. Always seems to show the loading screen to often, lags per 2.5 seconds etc. always kicks out a joining player (either you or the other player)

6. When I open my popit and go to a selection (let's say Goodies Bag,) it will usually come up (for me) 'You don't have anything here'
To temporarily fix this I just go to settings and go to the advanced create mode part. Toggle it on and off.

7. Generally all the annoying bugs.

8. They didn't try to use 2014-2015 technology to try and make better graphics for PS3. They just took the same graphics from LBP2 which was released in 2011/2012 (I think that was when it was released.) Could have put some more effort into the graphical features.

SPOILER ALERT!
9. The story mode for me felt a little bit bland, due to the fact that there isn't actually as much storyline as LBP2 (The negativitron attacking, you getting saved, you going through trials and meeting more curators, flying through the Huge Spaceship when you are suprisingly attacked, saving the captured, killing the negativitron.)

PROS.
1. Added 13 more layers to use in create mode!

2. Added the ability to mess around with animations!

3. 3 new buds to play with! (Oddsock, Toggle & Swoop.)

4. All kinds of new tools, as well as the tools from LittleBigPlanet for the PS Vita and LBP2!

5. The gameplay has changed dramatically from swing on sponges tied up with strings to the ceiling, to bouncing between layers and running up walls!

6. The new materials!

7. The ability to create custom characters that aren't sackbots!

8. Through creativity, the ability to make 3D movement/other crazy inventions!


Overall, I would say if they had maybe just tried a little harder with the graphics, and fixed a ton of bugs and glitches, LBP3 would be the best LBP game so far.
Currently I think LBP2 and Vita are probably the 2 best LBP games so far

Yup, but they improved lighting and if graphics were better game would llaaaaaaaaaaaaggggg.

True that, Sumo probably wouldn't be able to pinch the graphics up too noticeably due to the graphics card the PS3 runs on.
I just would've liked to see something newer to sackboy/sackgirl.
If they'll stop making Disney DLC and instead work on the game a bit more, (which they are seemingly trying a bit more now) I'd be happy to rate LBP3 a 10/10.

1= the sackbots controlinator has inputs. 3= Did you mean character rotater? Did lbp2 have character rotaters?... I'm with you on con #2 BIGTIME.

pros:
1. Lots of lovely layers to play in.
2. New tools and options bring cool new capabilities
3. A big move in a great direction, and maybe in LBP4 we'll get an overhauled game engine with real 3D. (crosses fingers) Of course then it would only be PS4, but it can't stay tied to the PS3 anchor forever.

cons:
1. They gave us more layers, but the tools get hard to control when the level's that deep. Need better controls for dealing with them.
2. Online. Multiplayer. Yikes.
3. Plenty of great advances since LBP2, but also lots of simple obvious things that were not fixed or improved.
4. It's a bug hunt, man!!

Ikr! I reckon if they spent another 3 months minimum on LBP3 it'd have better reviews and ratings!

Pros:

* More layers. This alone allows a lot of things that weren't possible before.
* Some pretty powerful new logic tools. The broadcast and animation chips in particular.

Cons:

* Long load times. Even going back to your pod takes ages compared to LBP2.
* Online stability. Having the game crash after finishing a level and other online issues puts me off playing.

Generally the feeling I get when playing LBP3 is a lack of trust in the game. This is something hard-won once lost.
