I've done first five levels but can't navigate to the next set on the globe.... How do I do it please?!

Replay the final cutscene on the most recently completed chapter book. You can skip it if you please. The game will unlock it again. In your case it didn't work the first time, the second time should do it. I thought this glitch was patched.

Yes, that was the problem. Thought I was going mad! Guess not patched as I'm up to date!
