well.. I have the pin but.. i'm not going to use it... unless I manage to earn it.. which musicians don't anymore.. oh well.

It's a new pin design introduced in the new patch. It's the same old pin that you get with a team pick, but with a fancy new design.

It really backfired...

well.. the team pick pin was never really the cool one anyways. but the Awesomesauce pin! that's cool. way more rare than a team pick pin ever was. there are less pink ribbons around levels then there are Awesomesauce pins

Team Picks are becoming all the more common. So many levels just get team picked now, which is good, but the rareness of the pin is now gone.

So many levels that barely got any plays before are team picked, which is good, more underrated stuff.

Even though the Team Pick pin has lost most of its value it will always be connected with quality and prestige. I do agree that some of the team picks are awful but the majority of the levels is above average. The Awesomesauce Pin however is much harder to obtain since it's not as easily rewarded compared to the standards of a team pick level today. Luck is an important factor in both cases along with expertise in creating.

well. I definitely have expertise in what I create. I know musicians get this pin occasionally.

Team picks are definitely becoming more common. Unfortuanately, not all of them are legendary quality. I've played some team picks were the controls are cluncky, visuals are lacking, creativity is too small, and the overall enjoyment of the level is low. If they're going to do things this way, then I think there should be atleast 3 types of picks. For example, a rare pick or a legendary pick. That way the ok team picks will go in the rare pick section, and the mindblowing team picks will go in the legendary pick section.

A high frequency of team picks is very important now. The casual player will not be going on forums like these to find good levels, and with the removal of cool pages (rightfully so in my opinion), there needs to be a constant stream of good levels to play for that casual fan. The biggest complaint I always hear about lbp is that there is too much junk online. I always tell them to stick with the team picks for best results. I think there is enough good levels to have a team pick a day, or at least a new list of daily levels, but this might just be redundant I don't know.

Half the fun of LBP is finding the hidden gems scattered throughout the imagisphere.

Huh I've never encountered such a funny bug before... I hope they patch it though it is kinda ridiculous

This "new" Pin is actually a very old Team Pick Pin re-design that we were throwing around during the development of LittleBigPlanet 3, before we decided that we would rather have a consistent Team Pick Pin across the series rather than game-specific Team Pick Pins.

What actually happened is that we were fixing a minor issue with how the Team Pick Pins are automatically awarded upon being awarded a Team Pick but this old version was referenced in the fix, rather than the Team Pick Pin that we all know and love.

So essentially our code team are looking into just removing this rejected Pin from the game altogether, which in turn will remove it from the profiles of those that have gained it. (The main Team Pick Pin will be unaffected.)

So, my question about this new Team Pick pin issue is what exactly went wrong? Shouldn't it, like, detect that a creator has the original Team Pick pin, and then give 'em the new pin? Such confusing stuff.
