Hey LBP Musicians, Sound Friction here!

For the people wondering, here are the new instruments.
And to be honest, I'm a bit dissapointed to see more percussion than melodic instruments. ( There is only one melodic instrument -_-" )

Anyway here is the video, by SmuseRay ( or SniperMusician75 on PSN )

as a drummer, i'm excited about the new percussive instruments. But yea, I was at least hoping for more to work with. another thing is, no new settings. They didn't really add much for musicians to be excited about.

So I guess lbp musicians will finally have to learn how to drop a beat

Haha, but they indeed could've added some more melodic instruments and more options for editing. :/

But I'm excited for the Junk Kit, Dubstep kit and the Electronic kit. However, the ukelele just sound like an up-pitched nylon guitar. -_-"

Wait, how do you mean? Or do you mean the other compression stuff, or something like that?

I think he does. I noticed one more thing about that. the music sounds a lot different in create mode than it does in play for some reason. play mode has a lot less bass for some reason

Hello.

I still exist.

After the LBP3 beta I wasn't expecting anything at all really, so I'm glad with the meagre selection we have. I'll still be composing for fun in my free time, which I have less and less of these days. But LBP is Play and Share as well as Create, so I'll be remembering to have a giggle and relax in the game-world too. Hope to see you guys out there.

Best wishes to all. You know where to find me.

Have fun with the fun game.

My point is that even a 7 euro pack has more (and more useful) instruments than a full price 60 euro game. :/

People be saying real music production is too expensive but spent $300 on a PS3 (or $400 on a PS4), $180 on all 3 LBP games, and probably a good $120 on controllers which adds up to around $550.

That can buy you Ableton Live 9 Suite (or Fl Signature Bundle) on an educational discount and a kick-face digital synth like Sylenth1.

They have a wealth of free knowledge and connections I can offer them via myself and friends and can easily get any talented person a legitimate start in the music industry.

And choose to keep playing LBP all day.

That ain't none of my business tho...

...Sylenth1. $150. It can make any sound you want it to other than some things Massive or Serum can. That was included in the price estimate.

I agree though. If someone is serious about music career, they need to stop focusing so hard on making lbp music. it's not something they necessarily need to stop if they really enjoy it. But having lbp be their main musical outlet isn't going to get them anywhere.

I couldn't recreate realistic strings and brass, so I'll let that up to Kontakt. But Nexus2, Sylenth1 and Massive are amazing synths.

If you have Facebook, join Knowledgeable Producers Q&A, great group. They're a closed group, but just ask to join and they'll let you.
