I think you mean the bread factory right? Well it was a super level no doubt! It was the next level that was originally in the runner-ups but then we decided to make only 3. The Originality was amazing but me and some other judes found that the design was not the best and the gameplay. It was more a RPG than a platformer

bread factory was boring? o.O ok this level focused 100 percent on the main goal creating new gameplay and interact the producing system with the gameplay all the other levels are far away from this level but thats just my opion

And it is good that everyone has its own opinion as long as you are not offensive we have no problem that you share it with each other We had also different opinions for the bread factory: I dont want to tell you the names but a judge gave the bread factory 39/40 and another 19/40

Im curious as to how this forum judges there contests.

as for people thinking that another lvl deserved to win . ive been in this situation and it stinks you just need to respect there choice and take a step back and try see it..

The judging process for this one has been like nothing I've ever done before. So many great entries, and so many different styles, it is soooo hard to decide which one is better.

Certainly the bread factory was a hard decision. It is true it didn't produce something that LBP needed too much... But the amount of detail in it was unbelievable. I myself would have placed it a little higher, but we combined the opinions of all the judges and that gives this contest more fairness.

And @jhonsiak I understood that his level was an original idea, fantastic. All I asked was WHY it won because it had minimal gameplay (like moving here, get on a conveyor etc.) more watching.

Also, I said I don't mean to sound rude or demanding. I could care less at this point. Suggestion for the forum, ( you guys can delete this post ) i suggest next time post a page of the results and thats it. Things tend to get out of hand on all websites . Cause i dont think steven likes to see the little arguing. Id like to see you guys get another crown giveaway . Plus i think its cool this site has the yay or heart post option. Maybe a frowned faced would be interesting if you were curious if some people were unhappy. But maybe its best not to drag things on.

I think it is no problem as long as we don't say bad words to each other. Me and jujupon had a different opinion and we discussed it and that is the way how to solve problems

Im so happy KnowntoKill won! He, i think it was the only that dared to actually Challenge the player, I played that level for 16min & I miraculously didn't rage quit. When I reached that scoreboard I felt so fulfilled. But I lost the idea of was the level was after the 4th-5th platform.

I loved Ka-Ching! by: Porkyfern. Fantastic, Fluid & most dynamic Gameplay. Although i felt like the visuals were done in a rush.

¤¢ Irreal ¢¤ by bombird Not much gameplay. It felt like i was just standing doing nothing, but what little gameplay the level had, was amazingly polished & It looked Great. Plus the Great Cutscenes & light works was simply outstanding.

Congratulation to all of you! The three of you did fantastic levels worthy of every recognition.

I saw OMG during the creation process, he pretty much scrapped it together in about 2 and 1/2 days. He felt it was not up to the standards of his levels (which in my opinion as well, is wasn't) and so he deleted it.

Just for the general information, was our entry, Some Cheetahs with quite a few Rockets disqualified? You never told if it was.

And congratz to winner and others in top. Some great levels even though some of them didn't have very well done factory producing (and interactivity with it).

//Also to me it seems like some judges didn't understand they should play levels after the deadline. Level being done before the deadline might not be fully finished level. I also saw some judges play unfinished levels that were still locked which I found as a clear advance to those creators who gave the key to judges (means that judges might get interested of the level before it is even fully done). I really do hope judges are more careful with judging progress and the whole forum chooses judges more carefully. A good moderator might not be a good judge.

Sorry Lakera-13 it seems that i missed your post when you asked the first time.

I didn't expect every competitor should ask in this topic were they disqualified or not. I believe there wasn't very many levels that actually were disqualified since rules allowed any kind of level if they were made in time.

I am not really enjoying how you are acting like this would be some kind of happy thing to me. Last night when making the level I slept only like 3-4 hours and we got it actually finished it in time. But then there was about 5 game breaking bugs in the end of the level we saw when playing it and we had to fix it quickly at least to some kind of shape. It still is quite bad but at least playable.

Your level got disqualified, so what? What were you expecting?
Did you really think you will put as much effort in your level as you can, you will win the contest for sure? I'm afraid you do not fully understand how LBP contests work.
It's not about the prize, it's just about making people doing their best on creating amazing levels. And the winner is not always the best creator, the fact that knowntokill will get a crown and you won't does not mean he is a better creator than you and he will always make better levels than you. I would even say that there's no good and bad creators in LBP, it just depends on what happens when you create the level, how much effort you decided to put in it, how much inspiration you got for it, how much determination you had in realising your vision.
And if you're saying that you and your friend have put a lot of effort into the level, then what are you angry at? Aren't you any satisfied of the results of your work? Aren't you any proud of yourself? You should be happy if what you're saying is true.
With the mentality you're showing you would never achieve anything.

I meant with how they were acting because all of the smileys they put in the end of their messages. Like "Yea it was disqualified ". I waited a really long time for the results to know would our level get even as a runner up and when they came I thought "Ok, whatever, the level probably sucked really badly". Then I hear after many days that the level was disqualified which made me really sad and that is what you can see from the message I wrote.

They're making those smiles, so that you wouldn't feel so bad. Didn't work though, they're probably not very happy that you didn't understand that.
I'm not saying that you won't achieve anything, I am saying that from your posts I got a feeling of a mentality that wouldn't be able to.

Okay guys, the judges were really straight at the moment of disqualifying for not publishing on time, but even if they were not disqualified, those levels wouldn't have entered the top-3 / runner ups. (Judges did play some of the disqualified levels, and graded them).

As a perdonal message, I enjoyed Lakera's level a lot, but it broke to me here and there and even though it was a good level I still believe the righteous winners are the ones we announced.

I just realized something.
Freddy, you announced the winners 1 hour too early!
You said it was going to be at 6 pm GMT. And you posted it at 7 pm CET.
Normally it would be right, because CET is GMT+1:00, but you forgot about something.
Even though it's not summer any more, it's still European Summer Time. That means all the clocks in EU where changed to 1 hour later. And that affects the GMT too.
So until 27th of October CET is not GMT+1, but GMT+2. Next time post the announcements at the right time!
