My name is Phillip, and I have played LittleBigPlanet since it came out for the first time when I was about 15 years old. At first, as most of you probably thought, seemed like a really childish game, "fluffy 'sackperson' running around, with squares to push and colorful stickers to stick all over the place?", Nah, that's WAS not my kind of game. Until I decided to give it a try with a bunch of friends... PLUS a whole library of Community Levels waiting to be played by a group of Highschoolers! Now this game got me. LBP1 and 2 made me love what is the whole concept of a Community, just thinking that with the right tools a game could be INFINITY because of a legion of Sackboys and Sackgirls around the world to keep building and dreaming new levels, for me at the time was amazing! So I had to do something of my own. I consider myself a creative person, but I can't build! I know, that probably this is the first thing coming when you enter the creative mode of LBP, but I really can't. So I decided on doing something else to contribute with the community, so I started to play as much levels as I could, mostly with friends by my side, until we had enough of it. LittleBigPlanet 2 was a blast for (year 2012) now a group of ALMOST-adult friends! So the Youtube Happened. (I mean, we all know that YT has almost 10 years now, but now the Let's Plays/VideoGame Content have blasted our lives with videos everyday)

Right now I'm one of the founders of a tiny little channel called Default Couch, we have been working on this channel for almost 1 year, and we started playing any kind of games just releasing Let's Plays (what we call Couch Plays), but one game in particular that we used to play was LittleBigPlanet 2, and even playing all kinds of interesting, funny and awesome games, LBPs were different to us, almost like we had more fun playing it than any other game. So we had a big change of plans, we became a LittleBigPlanet Exclusive Youtube Channel. (Ok, sometimes we release other videos, but it's pretty much LittleBigPlanet Content) And I couldn't be happier about this decision. All thanks to the community.

The LittleBigPlanet Community (You guys), have shown me once again how strong we are! Our channel had nothing, we almost decided to stop trying, because nobody seemed to have interest in what we were doing, but when we started showing the LOVE LittleBigPlanet deserved, things started to kick off. "More LBP videos, more views and subs, "yeah that's cool", but what is the most important part is PEOPLE. We started to have comments, conversations, and even really kind words started to appear on our videos! The whole group was excited about it! And when LittleBigPlanet 3 was released, we decided that it need our ENTIRE attention, so right now we are recording as much LBP3 content as we can, but Let's Plays are not enough, actually LPs are what people normally argued against us, "We don't want to see LPs here" - LBP Redditer Hater said to one of our videos. And he wasn't wrong. Considering the views it was good, but is it enough? Just to give people our laughs and reactions about Community Levels and other LBP3 levels? So we changed, we are engaging the LBP Community, as much as we can! We started new shows, that we thought it would never happen, "Community Requests" where we accept viewers to send us their levels so we can have fun with it and also share with other LBP fans! "Couch Showcase" a show that we normally tell people about something that they need to check about LBP. And at last, what we are REALLY proud of doing, our first Podcast! "LBPodcast" exclusively about LittleBigPlanet and LBP-Related Topics, I wish I took photos of our crew in our first Podcast recording, because everyone was so excited about it!

You guys might think that by what I am telling you we are now a pretty big channel right? No we are not, but we are so proud of what we accomplished, and all thanks to LittleBigPlanet and its Community! There are so many things that changed in my life because of LittleBigPlanet, the Community and our Youtube Channel, that I couldn't be more thankful about. It's wonderful to wake everyday waiting to see if more people enjoyed our videos, if they left a comment, or even if they just want to send us a message! It's incredible, and that's why I also decided to join the LittleBigForum Community, we want to be part of it as much as we want YOU to be part of what we are doing. We just celebrated, with a special video, our 200 subscribers! And for us this is unbelievable, just thinking of 200 hundred people filling a room of a convention center or anything else... it's totally breathtaking.

Concluding everything I said, I really want to be part of something bigger, and LBP+Community+YoutubeChannel gave me something wonderful. But I'm looking for more, I want more conversations, discussions, opinions, laughs, jokes, friends, jokes, laughs, haters, lovers, Sackboys, Sackgirls etc, etc, etc... I want it all. We from Default Couch want to LIVE LittleBigPlanet and we really wanted YOU to be part of it, thank you if you read all of that, and I hope you leave a message, welcoming me and my friends to the LittleBigForum Comminity, we are not here to promote our channel, we are here to share and collaborate with the LittleBigPlanet Comminity!

I like that you guys are doing your best to do a bit of promoting. There are already sites and other YouTube channels doing this sort of thing (RocketCheeta, GadderTV, LBPCentral, LittleBigNetwork, Sackinima, LittleBigForum! to name some of the bigger ones) but one more can't hurt. Maybe it'll grow to become an even bigger part of the LBP community . And your channel looks pretty cool btw

I'm glad that you had the time to read it, I know that this still looks like a big promotion, but the main idea that I wanted to express is that I really want to be an active part of the LBP Community! I was looking for an interactive forum/chat of LittleBigPlanet fans and I wasn't able to find any updated websites that I could discuss and have conversations, my only option was the LBP subreddit which is not always the most friendlier...

I'll be brutally honest. I have seen your stuff before and I don't watch it because your accent is too heavy. I don't want to be rude or mean its just the truth, and its better than me making a lie up. Good luck guys.

Oh, "brutally" is a good way to put it, considering that we work a lot on our way of speaking, but I appreciate your observation about it. I got to say, it's not easy to change the way you are used to speak, even though I consider Brazilian Portuguese a good language to start learning other languages (Normally you don't get too much accent depending on how old you started learning). But as I said, you bring up a good point about our new content, we need to speak more "properly", and by that I am also criticizing my videos, maybe I'll pay more attention to what I'm talking about and the way I talk, I hope it smooths a little bit my Brazilian Accent! (But during our first podcast, I was REALLY nervous, I'm sorry!)

Hey, you dont have to change anything, I just won't watch, and I was just letting you know why I felt like others may not be watching. I think you should do your videos in Portuguese. There are already lots of English LBP channels, but I can guarantee there is an untapped Portuguese LBP market you guys can grab.

Ok, I appreciate your advice. There are bigger problems going from an English Channel to an Portuguese one, the way it is isn't really showing that much of a rejection from people around the world. And changing that much would be going from "wine to water", I mean, working with a good and promising project (English as an global language) to accept an environment that won't go anywhere (Brazilian Portuguese).

Thank you so much! But still, sometimes when I get a little bit nervous my voice changes to a similar way of speaking when I speak Portuguese, changing in this case isn't a bad situation, there are many international Youtube channels right now, that if you go back to their origins, most of them had a strong accent, and right now they got a much softer" american(ish)" tone in their voices.

Welcome to the forums. I'll be sure to give your channel a checkout. I like to sub to other LBPers because they find levels that I sometimes cannot. Also, the best attitude to have when recording videos (at least when you're small) is do it for the fun and laughs. If you do that, eventually, people will come. I wish you the best of luck!

I realise that a lot of the LBP channels on YouTube that have taught me much since I first got LBP and LBP2 haven't been active since ever! I'll be sure to watch your videos if appreciated.
