Yes and no.
I'm sure without doubt lbp will be hurt with dream release. Many big creator will make transfer.
However, throughout time (or honeymoon period) creator will start to feel style they like create on...

Such as LBP Create assets or
dream assets....

Sure the community lbp won't be as strong... but know that some creators will come back to lbp for it style they prefer.


Btw dreams is like lbp4 since they both share so much similarties with one another... (e.g logic, create mode, MM pick)

A new LBP need a Sackboy, points. Dreams is just a sculpting engine were you can scultpt chars and your world and put them into, but it has nothing to do with LBP!

Dreams is MM's new baby. I don't think it is supposed to be LBP4. I think a few creators will try it out and some new creators will try it out as well, but LBP3 will have still have a few good years.

I really wonder why people care so much about the life span of a game. I'd say simply play it and don't be afraid.

Ok I Guess I Was A Bit Too Worried.

LBP3 will face a drastically reduced player base even before Dreams is out in it's full effect. The game is already fading away and that is not only because it's getting older, it's also due to the vast amount of technical problems still lingering around. Without the player boost not too long ago that resulted from LBP3 being free on PS Plus it would have died down a lot quicker. As it stands now I fail to see what will keep the majority of the casual players staying considering the broken state of the game.

I will miss LBP online. It was great time.
When you play offline it's like dead and you are not motivated anymore to continue with level creating, because you can't share. Very sad..

I'm optimistic (Some would call it blind). Even if LBP3's community becomes smaller, it would mean a fresh start for a new game and some people of LBP's old community.

I personally don't want to discuss any further.
