Arcade City

Arcade City is about exploring, humor, and DEEP LORE. It is a WIP and will be rather huge. It takes place in a big city you find from looking around your local area. It's not really serious, nor is it meant to be Team Picked. I just want to put my creative skills to the test. It has Platforming, cutscenes, boss fights, and plenty of references to LBP levels and authors. Stay tuned.

It's a city. It's kind of a hangout, but it sure isn't a platformer. It's more of a story-based level.

It's a storytelling level with humor and satire. It pokes fun at things in LBP and in real life. There are multiple different buildings, quests, characters, and even a platforming section. It has characters based off of people in LBP. It's rather huge, and is also an adventure, meaning it can be bigger without problems occurring like the problems from the cruddy demo I published.

UPDATE PART 2:

Arcade City has many buildings. These buildings are where everything happens in the adventure. Alongside the Headquarters of Hanging Around, the Greed-based Store (Now with over 180 content packs that could have been given to us for free), and the Factory where creativity and original ideas are nonexistent, the city has many other areas to look at, such as:

A Museum, where the power-hungry creators get featured and the poor souls cry their hearts out.
A Theater, where kids go to watch stuff not for kids while the adults slowly go insane. Kaiju_Kid all day, all night. Fart joke. Laugh track. Repeat.
A School, where kids are dumb and everyone makes outdated, unfunny jokes no matter the age.
A Bar, where comedy comes in talking about what every single human can relate to (or none of them).
A Hotel, where the people living in the room above you are actually insane. Nobody in the hotel has slept ever since they showed up.
A Carnival, where things break on purpose!
A Company, where 1 gigabyte patches are made, with the only addition being bug fixes.
A Church, where nobody cares about your opinion, nor do they care about their friends or family.
The Arcade City Stage, where dreams die faster than those of Youtubers
The Forest, where- boo got you
And that's not even half of it! Okay, maybe it is. Wait, is it? I don't know. Nor do I really care much at the moment. Have a good day!

I hope you arent offended by the stuff in this level. That's what I've always been wandering while making this, people getting angry at me and the level for its humor and satire. That's what I mean when I say don't take this seriously, this level isn't meant to be dramatic or emotional or anything, it's completely fine to laugh at anything you find funny. This level is story-based, yes, but the story isn't meant to be tense or epic. It's meant to poke fun at dumb things and flawed things as well as entertain the player from start to finish. That's what a game should do, and while it does have a good bit of wandering around the place for something or someone, it allows you to explore the area along the way, and has Easter eggs and secrets, along with more pieces of the story and characters and items to interact with all over the place. If the player doesn't like it, that's completely fine. I won't go out and attack them. We're all here to have fun, not to cause a war.

UPDATE 2:Bad news. The factory deleted the majority of itself while I was gone from it. This means it will not be a platformer, but it will still be in the level. Development continues.

I did save but I left the game on and my controller was still charging while I was gone. It either was a cat (somehow, I meant they did crack my laptop screen back in October 2016), someone that came over to my house (a friend that doesn't know what they're doing), someone somehow joining my game (I did have a 2 day ps plus trial) and I think both players I know and don't know can auto-join, or maybe not, I don't know) or a glitch involving the dynamic thermometer. It might be the glitch one, because the area where stuff used to be, if you zoom out enough (the dynamic thermometer can create a glitch that lets you zoom out SO much that you see the entirety of the world on the screen), there's a transparent red there, as if something has been "hiden" using L2, or has an opacity tweaked on it set to 0%, but it shows up still visible (but, as I said, transparent) in create mode.

I tried looking around and doing anything I could to see if I could get the stuff that was deleted back, I look around the entire world, turned off the dynamic thermometer (which said something about stuff outside the streaming area being deleted, which is weird, because it never said that before when J turned it off), it even shows every material, object, song, etc. I used in the factory level, as if they're all still there. Even the entrance is gone, which is the only thing that disappeared that was at the start of the level. Also, I'm pretty sure you can't delete entrances, or at least not the normal way. And I'm pretty sure I made the entrance not only static, I put a physics tweaked on it with collisions off (and an opacity tweaker as well, set to 0%, so that when you play the level, it seems as if you entered the factory through the door, and not the entrance.) I'm still gonna continue working on this project, and the factory will be an area in the city, but it won't be as big as I was wanting the factory to be. It won't be a platforming level is what I mean, it'll instead be an area that is found on the level for the main area of the city, and it'll be based around exploring and story, similar to the headquarters, the store, and the majority of the buildings that are planned to be in the adventure.

I know that glitch/bug you're talking about. It shows non loaded objects with a placeholder box (red boxes) to represent the objects.

Hmm, working with the dynamic thermometer is tricky, because it can get buggy very fast.
