Hello fellow forum fellows! i need some ideas for a current system i am working on, it is a NPC character called a G.H.O.S.T
the main properties of this npc are the following.
1. it is made of hollogram, apart for a little glowing orb of light where its heart would go. which is solid btw.
2. it has the ability to toggle between physical state and non physical state. (This cannot be faked in any way.)
3. it has a flip book effect, whereas the body (not including the heart) is being emmited every 0.2 seconds. this should not effect the design as the body is made of hollogram.

I am mainly having problems with property 2.

NOTE: this project is not at all unlike the CODEX from XCOM: 2

This sounds complicated. I think there are some logic experts here in LBF who could help you out.

Look if you can start something wit the proper tweak.
Physics i think.
There you should be able to turn collisions on or off.
The solution itself could get tricky since the tweak is buggy sometimes.
also you should not turn the collisions of the hero off.
(if using half transparent sackbot with animations to make flipping effect)
Because of gravity. Instead ignore collisions with enemys.
The heart you can solve with follower.
