Hi, I have figured out how to rotate sackbots about the y axis by putting in an animation tweaker and over riding rotation and setting yaw angle.  What I would like to know is is there a way to rotate objects and other assets (like the door to another level or lights ) around this axis ?

Only for decorations which are on the rotation disc.

If you want to rotate other stuff, there is only a glitch way to turn it in creative mode, but the thing itself will stay static.
You can look for glitchmaster7 to learn the glitch itself.

what does glitch mean in lbp terms? I thought it meant a fault in normal use. i did see something he did with a signpost and snapping but I couldnt get it to do what I wanted. I guess my problem is that I am trying to use the game like a 3d art and animation program which it probably is not designed for. I have to learn it's limitations and go from there.

Glitch in LBP = things the developers didnt gave us but were possible with tricks, workarounds and bugs in the game, both, in play and create mode... many glitches were patched because they ruined the game, others are in the game for years like the 3D Layer glitch of LBP1+2 or the rotation glitch, 3D Cam etc... but be careful with glitches, some can kill your profile...

LBP3 has in addition the glitches (=bugs) in the storymode, where you cant finish the story, fall out of the level etc, but that is a different thing we are not talking about ;-)

As i know, it is not posible to rotate materials or items in other way than given.
Glitch is an error of the game.
Sometimes, it enables possibilitys that are not meant to be.
It is same as cheating.
Like i said, the glitch will not allow to rotate the material or item freely.
It is only possible to twist the items (not materials) in create mode on the moon.
In the playmode, it will stay that way as it was twisted on the moon.

But you can use the rotator disc in your toolbag.
I think the disc is in the same page as sackbot.
On it, you can put decorations and rotate it via input.
You can tweak the max rotation speed.
Decorations from crossover dlc are usefull for stuff like axis.
You can use multiple discs for better visuals.
I used the discs for a trap that looks like thick pole with blades in my adventure.

I got the impression that the rotation disc just kept moving , where I just want to be able to have objects facing in different directions. I need to figure something out for camera too or else just accept that it is like working on a stage where the audience sits in front and that is it. I played a game on there today with a really good fps 3d camera I would like to be able to film with that. Anyway my main hobby, favorite pastime is learning so its all good. I take it no one minds if I keep asking questions, I always think that if I need to ask, someone else will have the same question too sometime.

lbp is limited even if uses the 3d camera tricks since the game was designed to be a 2.5D platformer, the disc rotation can be controlled with some logic pieces, so you can make the rotation moves forward or backwards in certain angle,in certain amount of time,in cycle,static and so... and if you apply the twist glitch to a deco disc you can obtain angles that normally can't (not sure if works exactly like lbp2 and 3)

Is this about LBP Vita, or LBP3?

I am LBP3 on PS4 . Are they still working on LBP3 I have seen people putting up requsts for new features but are any likely to happen?
