Hi, me again

I am trying to create a signpost in my level that has a triangle symbol above it so that if you press triangle the camera zooms in and you can read the sign, and the circle button exits back to normal view.

I am sure i have seen characters in people's levels that you can interact with in the same way but I have been messing around with controlinators and magic mouths for ages and haven't been able to find a solution, and was hoping for some advice. Thanks

The easiest solution for me to explain would be to use controllinator with sign note. (Not mouth)
First you have to find the controllinator-output which indicates if someone is using it. (Sitting in it)
It should be in the middle of the controllinator.
Test the outputs with an light-bubble.
It should be on, if someone is in it and only then.
Connect the same output to camera and note.
Adjust the note and camera as you like.
(Angle, volume where the cam is active, size and colour of the letters, colour ot transparency of note background)
Final step, connect the circle with the exit/eject of the controllinator. (Exit = the controllinator itself)
Voila. Have fun.

Is there not a way to press triangle to use the controlinator without appearing like you are sitting in it? I know you can use a remote control but then the bubble with a triangle disappears.

And is it not possible to have a player activate a magic mouth in the same way? I was sure I had seen it.

I haven't played the game for ages but what if I remember correctly:
- Place a microchip
- Place a controlinator on the chip. The mode/player/whatever set to nearest player and set radius to get in controlinator to 0
- Get out a player sensor and place it on there as well and specify a range to be able to click your desired button

Then route the output of your desired button (in this case the triangle button) and the player sensor to an AND-gate and the gate's output should go into the input of either a magic mouth or a note. The magic mouth or note should have only display while active input on, or something like that.

In the picture below I have visualized what I meant, as well as a second method that does the same.\

Also you need to make a toggle system yourself since it's only active when holding the triangle button. Or a timer set to countdown inbetween the output of the gate and the input of your magic mouth is possible as well

Use a note, a sticker plate and a controlinator. The controlinator should recieve a signal of the sackboy. Set it in the menu of the controlinator. When the player comes across the sign, a sticker panel with a triangle button should get visible.

I think I will make s video for you to understand, because explaining this can take a while.

EDIT: I recorded a video clip (4 minutes long) that should explain how you create a sign with a controlinator, a not and a little bit of logic. I'll post the link here when it's uploaded.
