A handy FAQ for all of you folks:

1. Can I enter with a level of mine that is already nearly finished/in the works?
Absolutely This event gives total freedom to each creator. The only thing that will link together the level series will be some very simple story elements (for example, in previous years we had levels where sackboy had to get a Christmas card signed or where we had to rescue a lost reindeer). The story will be decided by every member of the team once recruitment is over.

2. Do I need to create a platformer?
Not necessarily. You may create a mini-game, or basically any kind of level within LBP as long as it contains gameplay (no movies).

3. I'm not an experienced creator, can I apply to this event?
Originally, this was an invite-only project. However, I think that opening it up for everyone is nicer and allows for more diversity. However, I must ensure that you know your ways in the art of LBP creation. You do not need to own a Team Pick or some fancy thing like that, but you do need to be experienced with the game editor, to keep a steady quality in the levels throughout the series.

4. How and when are levels going to be published exactly?
The date for each creator is decided inside our group, but basically the point of this countdown is to release one level every day until Christmas (the 25th) arrives. So publishing dates really depend on the amount of people signing up, it'll probably be from the 18th-25th or something similar.

5. Is there going to be a LBPVita event this year?
Probably not. Last year the coordination of two events (one for LBPVita and one for LBP3) was a bit difficult and LBPVita is decreasing in popularity: last year our hub for LBP3 got almost 90 000 plays while the Vita one harshly got around 600. So LBP3 only this Christmas

Before I make any decisions if I want to enter this contest, I've got a few questions.

1. Do I have to be a registered LBPC member?

2. Am I allowed to put movie cutscenes in platformer levels?

3. Is there a catch? Like is there a prize or is this just for fun? I like both, but I'm just curious.

1. Not really, I make this to try and gather everyone in a single fansite, but if you'd rather not register in LBPC that's perfectly fine, you can coordinate the organisation just with me through LBF.

Usually, this event is organized in LBPC, and members from the site discuss the story and publishing days over a private group over there, but if you do not want to register to the site you can discuss about all that just with me and I'll pass your opinions and comments to the rest of the team.
