Summary

LittleBigPlanet Game Update 1.12 is scheduled to roll out on August 27th at 12:05PM BST, it brings the much-loved and oft-requested Dive In feature to LittleBigPlanet 3 with some brand new functionality to make hosting and joining multiplayer sessions easier than ever before!

Our Social Menu also receives an update to display all of your PSN Friends and Hearted Players in alphabetical order; along with a fix to ensure that all of your Hearted Players display correctly.

This update also includes fixes for community-reported issues including the “Collector Extraordinaire” Trophy/Pin issue for The Journey Home Premium Level Pack, the Sci-Fi Pack’s missing music issue, the Horrible Gas performance issues, allowing players to correctly remove Decorations/Stickers from their Pods between game sessions and a number of other fixes too.

Awesome, dive-in is back, that's how I have fun late nights with nothin else to do  

I've been waiting for dive-in in lbp since one of the developers mentioned it a few months back. Really great news.

Yeah, dive in works great so far...

I know, we said, the loading is too slow, but now it's crazy, how fast the text changes sometimes in loading screen, 10/10 for making it fast, but this is little bit too much ^^

Ironically, Dive-In in LBP3 is a lot better than in LBP2! I was being kicked instantly most of the time trying to Dive-In in LBP2, but in LBP3 I only got kicked once, then I have had no problem joining next people!
Even if it's still in BETA, it really works great at the moment!

i noticed that when i selected the "Host" option, i could deny a dive in from someone else with their name popping up first.

for example, i may not want to let xXEPICTROLLXx or something like that join me xD

I highly disagree on adding the option to deny join attempts when you are in fact using the 'host feature'. By using it you are basically agreeing with having a random player join you. It's disgustingly superficial to judge people by their PSN ID.

At least give the player a chance even if the PSN ID is something close to a joke. Even with my name I have experienced denied join-attempts when I used the dive-in. But when I changed to one of my other accounts I got a lot more succeeded joins . I guess my name is freaking some young players out... lol

lol I see your point. every once in a while, I see a PSN name that i'm sure was thought up by someone older.. and it usually turns out to be their 8 year old kids playing or something instead lol. sort of the reverse of what you were talking about but it still shows your point.. but I have been known to deny join requests that start out with "xX" or something like that.. just psn name styles that I associate with very young players lol. is this discrimination? yes, yes it is. i'm a horrible person lol

Are you saying that when you were a HOST, you were still receiving the prompts asking to Allow/Reject Join Requests?

Just to clarify, when you are a HOST, you should not be receiving these prompts anymore because you have effectively flagged yourself to automatically allow all Join Requests. (Except those from Blocked Users, of course.)

I don't get those join requests.

Actually Steven, I messed that up quite a bit lol. I meant to type "couldn't". Being able to deny players by name was actually something that I miss.. But I do understand why that would be taken out. And Blacksackman had some good points as well.

Mostly, i'm just glad that the dive in feature has returned.
