I am very confused as to how I am still unable to join friends and my friends are still unable to join me on PS3 even after the 1.11 patch. Has anyone else had the same problem? 

Yes, I have the same problem, I have the digital version, what version do you have? The LBP3 servers definitely needs fixing tho..

Try to reset your costume and join only with standard sackboy costume.
This helps me in most of cases.

If this dont help, then reset your earth and moon. Save them reseted and retry joining with reseted sackboy.

Well, not. Actually if you have reset costume, you won't be able to join and the host you wanted to join will be kicked and stuck on infinite loading/sackboy not respawning. If you want to join to somebody you need to wear at least one cloth (shirts usually work) and then join. It helps for me. Oh, and if you really have a good connection, you will be able to join even with more detailed costume.

erm.. I know from experience that resetting your costume to default helps a lot. (and I was the one trying to make sure everyone knew that)

but at this point, multiplayer is working pretty well in LBP3 compared to what it was.. I think it's just your connection unfortunately.

Another thing I think may help, when someone is joining move around a lot. The pod loads the movement better than when someone is idle increasing your chances to join people by, based off my own personal statistics for me and my connection and how many attempts for someone to join, out of every 10 join,s 7 worked while moving. Out of 10 more joins, 4 worked without moving. You have a 70% chance while host is running around compared to the 40% when they are idle. And we were wearing full costumes, it may help even more to wear nothing. As well, connections do have a major role in it too.

Quite the strangest glitch.



I know for a fact that it's not my connection. My friend told me it was that stupid failed to load profile thingamajig thingamabob again.
