What does SD think theyre doing?!

First I got a load of bull pertaining to lbp vita, but that's a topic for another day. But for right now, I have to talk about Sumo Digital and how they made this game so dang horrible! First off, on my ps4, the online is just atrocious. There is NO dive in, so I have to go to a popular level and hope somebody's playing it, so i can join them.. BUT, if the do accept my request, EVERYTIME, it says failed to connect to players! Now i know what you're gonna say, "But Houston, you can just play with your friends." Oh really? When I try to join a friend, it says they're busy. One time, my friend was just in his pod, and it said he was busy. But sometimes, it acutally does let me join, but the game is laggy to no end! I NEVER had this problem on LBP2.
Next up: DLC. OH. MY. GOD. The dlc in this game is so broken, it makes me shutter everytime I think about it. First of all, I've bought many a dlc in my past of lbp, so I was really looking forward to using it in lbp3, But almost nothing works! What's the point of having an in game store if NOTHING in it works?! "but, Houston, you can download it strait from the PS store!" Wrong, once again, because half of the stuff doesn't even work! All of the level kits, aside from cross-controller work, but most of my costume dlcs got thrown into oblivion in LBP3. Don't get me wrong, the dlc's that came with the digital game, along with a handful of others work, but the ones that don't work were my favorites. Now how am I gonna make my crash bandicoot costume if I can't get the proper dlcs for it? They need to stop making these new dlcs like big hero 6, and FIX THE EXISTING ONES!
Lastly, I move on to the game itself. God, this game is so bad! If I so much as cough, my game'll crash. OK that was greatly exaggerated, but you get the point. This is really annoying when creating. There are so many dang glitches in this game, it makes sonic 06 look like GOTY material. LBP2 levels are ruined in lbp3.In LBP2 movies, voices don't work. In LBP2 levels, you can move into the background. Did Sumo Digital even think about this stuff?
I'm tired of ranting, so I'll stop here. But, I swear to god if i see one more post saying "the're fixing all these glitches, so your argument is invalid" I'M GONNA FLIP A TABLE! IT'S BEEN 2 FLIPPIN MONTHS! Stop makin checks your tush can't cash.

There's already ssooo many threads just like this one in this forum. Yes, many issues. But if you poke around this forum a bit, you may find some tips/answers to a couple of these things.

well.. I wont say " your argument is invalid " . But what I can say, is that Sumo said recently, that the next patch WILL clear up the dlc issues. We'll have to wait and see if the next patch actually works for this. Also, I'm thinking there will be some network improvements next patch. One thing I keep telling everyone is, if both you and the people you're trying to join clear their costumes, it makes it so much easier to join people.

trust me, i'm as frustrated as anyone else would be and that's why I've been trying to keep track of all this.

Right now we can only report these issues. PS4 version is more buggy, because it's in new system so it's harder to move all of PS3 DLCs into the PS4 game. Also DLC like Move Pack or Cross Controller won't be available to play because PS4 doesn't support PS Move or cross-playing yet. But you're right about some points. No Dive In, lucky dip or Cool Pages makes the game worse. In Beta even was ability to make infinite levels. Where is it? Why did it get removed? But don't worry, we just have to wait. Sooner or later we will be playing LBP 3 just like in LBP 2.

MAJOR UPDATE! I was remaking my crash bandicoot costume, and out of nowhere, my game crashed! Not only did I lose my costume, but when I booted up the game again, IT SAID MY PROFILE IS CORRUPT! Until i get my profile back, I'm boycotting LBP3

Yeah, but using this ability levels will no longer be infinite. That's why it's renamed as "dynamic thermo".

Yea. I believe they said something about it being a misconception. More space could have been really handy though, even if it's not " infinite "

It's a PS3 engine being ported to the PS4. Of course it's going to be buggy on release. Remember early LBP2 and 1? That was the same thing. It took a lot of patching to fix those issues.

Also, everybody keeps saying that Lucky Dip isn't in the game, it is. It's just renamed to "Newest Levels".

The fact that their choices to remove these features were so inexplicit makes me think that they thought that the features were too hard to code and quit on them.

No, it's just LBP2's engine with a reskin. They by choice removed some of the features.

That isn't very long at all.

The guys at SD aren't wizards and witches. A PS3 engine being ported to PS4 can take a bit to fix.

I'd make backups if I were you.

Basically, never get any game at launch anymore if you want a glitch free time.

LBP3 is my first LBP game that I got around launch. It's certainly not as functional as LBP2 when I started playing.

I agree, that's why I haven't bought the game yet.

There's also another good saying, "Don't buy a pig in a poke". So I don't get the people complaining about the game.

I mean, guys, you know what you're buying? Right? You don't check the reviews and opinions? You don't watch any gameplay footage?

I have seen enough complaints about LBP3, so I'm just gonna wait with buying it until it's fixed. Meanwhile, LBP2 & Vita are the best.

Are you serious?

The PS4 itself does not have the software to run the PS3 Playstation Move and PS3 Eyetoy. A console, made by SONY. Vita cross controller support is also not really a thing on the PS4. Except remote play.

Why are you blaming everything on Sumo? Honestly.

The PS4 can support the DLC for cross controller and move. Many people are having DLC issues but not everyone. As many of us have said, Sumo acknowledges this and say they'll address it with patch 1.05

The move controller itself works on PS4 (however LBP gets very confused and tells me to connect a nav controller, which I do, to no avail) so the console is perfectly capable of it. It doesn't support the PS Eye though, so I suppose you'll need to buy the PS4 camera to ever use the Move pack.

Heloooo? I said the stuff in the packs. As in the costumes & materials. You can't even say that's beyond their ability. I never said they should release the whole dang pack. that would be impossible to do. You're so blinded by defending Sumo, you can't even understand my posts properly. :/ READ the post next time.

Here is a sample of your topics:
Legit proof that sumo digital is evil and released a buggy game
More proof that these developers didnt even play the game before releasing it

Message to sumo

I had my profile corrupt once on PS4. Thankfully I had PS+ and it backed it up before hand. That's the one thing that really sucks about this game. Profile corruption is the absolute worse

Again with these groundless statements. How can you even say that with the game how it is now?

You can the same for your argument as well. How can you say it will never be fixed? My friend has low expectations for the multiplayer as do I. But that's to say it will never be fixed :\

Honestly Cool pages were the worst in LBP2. They started to become flooded with mortal kombat and bomb survival levels. That and also copied levels. Though they introduced Lucky Dip to mitigate that problem, it didn't help much either :\

Also everyone, I'm not defending Sumo when it comes to the bugs and stability issues. The game crashed on me a few times and glitched out. The game has flaws, I get that. Just stop making threads like these, their long and drawn out and Sumo doesn't really you know, go on these forums.

If you want to contact them, email them at hello@littlebigplanet.com or tweet at them, or go on LBPCentral or the official LittleBigPlanet Forums. This thread isn't helping anyone. It isn't useful. This isn't bug reporting, this thread is a rant. A long drawn out rant.

Also, a lot of these online issues are just from LBP2. The online was horrible in that game.

Ignoring the bugs and crashes, the game is solid. The game plays well, has a good story, a good soundtrack, the game looks great. The patches are coming.

I myself had no real issues other then you know, crashes. So I guess I'm in the club of people who had a smooth run. Cool.

You say the game plays solid, but crashes. That sentence is arguing with itself.
If memory serves, you said "why are you blaming everything on sumo? Honestly." When I just listed things that were sumo's fault.
But Lbp 2 atleast let me join people.

The game itself, plays solidly. Ignoring the bugs. Maybe you should read my post first? "Ignoring the bugs and crashes".

I said that you were blaming everything on Sumo because they have no control on PS4 software or hardware, SONY does.

LBP2 is better in online. But both are pretty laggy.

That's the thing. It's IMPOSSIBLE to ignore all the bugs. If you took out the bugs, you would have NO online. No way to make an adventure map, and no game at all, because a crash counts as a big bug. And the game is abundant with those. And I never told sumo to do any thing the ps4 cant do. You merely misinterpreted my words. :/ I said they should release the stuff IN the packs. Not magically add cross control & move capabilities. You really should try READING. It sure helps with these misconceptions.

LBP2 crashed, LBP2 had big bugs.

LBP1 crashed, LBP1 had big bugs.

LBPK crashed, LBPK had big bugs.

I can say this about every game in the series. Because you know, this isn't a glitch free series. This series is known for it's glitches, either with the exploitable ones, or the game breaking ones.

The game itself is good, it just needs patching to make it perfect.

It's built off of a buggy engine, LBP2's engine.

LBP2 was a buggy game.

It was still fun.

The crashing, at the end of the day doesn't even matter. If not playing the game for 1 minute (to restart the console) concerns you, then that is kind of sad.

I'm just going to you know, sit over here and enjoy the game. Okay? We cool? We cool.

No we not cool. In LBP3 I get crashes while making levels literally every time I make a level. I save every couple of minutes now, and sometimes it crashes while savng.
It crashes while with friends. It crashes in story mode. And 1 minute to restart is fine with me as long as its not a level I've been working on for over an hour!
In ANY other lbp game I didn't crash nearly as often, and when I did, it didn't happen more than twice in the same day.
I would try to sit & enjoy the game if it had any joy for me to use.

Point is...

I'm enjoying the game because I'm having a smooth time with it. The game itself, when patched is going to be like, one of the best games in the series. It's just right now, the majority of people are having problems with the game.

When LBP2 was released the main issue I recall was profiles over 10 MB would fail to load. Over the course of the game we had stuff like the god glitch and the spawn pop bug which were pretty pernicious but they weren't there at launch.

I don't recall constant crashes, popit lag, chunks of levels disappearing or the amount of profile corruption we're seeing with LBP3. LBP3 has easily had the worst launch of the 3 main games in the series.

Maybe you can remind us what other bugs LBP1 and LBP2 had at launch.

Profile corruption is completely non-existant on the PS3 version. At least to my knownledge.

And I never said that LBP2 and 1 had the same type of bugs we have in LBP3.

I'm mostly talking about all of the glitches across the history of LBP2. (I never played the game at launch, but I certainly heard of launch glitches before)

I remember the update where you couldn't move your heads to left or right. It was that bad sometimes!

Also, while the crashing wasn't constant, it happened quite a bit in LBP2. During online games it used to freeze, when overloading create mode, when not overloading create mode sometimes.

Also, the online was god awful.

It seems unfair to compare that history, which spans 4 years, to a game released only a couple of months ago. Proportionally that's a ratio of 24:1.

Basically. Don't buy the game now. You may have a smooth time with it, but not everyone is going to have the same fate.

That is some advice everyone should take when buying this game, because it's fantastic if you have a smooth time, it's bad if you have a buggy time. Bye bye.

Pretty common stuff happening in the gaming industry. Support a game for 2-3 years (Thats really long) and then work on future projects.

The game still has many bugs and glitches. Some of them are fun, some of them are annoying. Nothing we can do about it now though.
