Well, I decided to finally try and get a platinum on LittleBigPlanet. After I finished Davinchi, I went on to Victoria's Laboratory. All I needed was to ace "King Klong" AKA the boss. When I threw a cake at the brain crain, it didn't work, so I assumed that I missed. Then I tried again and again... nothing worked. I went to try it out with Yugnar (Moderator) and we couldn't hurt the boss with the cake. The only way was to throw sackboy into the boss, which caused you to die and be un-able to ace. Anyone else having these problems?

Yeah, that was pretty annoying. Good thing I already aced the story mode ROFL.
Anyway, they really have to correct this issue.

Just went to try myself. Aced on the first try. It was kinda tricky though, the cake needs to hit pretty much perfectly.

Mmmm, we seriously tried a lot of times and I'm pretty sure the cakes landed on the brains perfectly. Probably a bug, I'll try the level again.

Also if you believe it's because of patches, you can always delete the newest version from XMB>Game>Game Data Utility>LittleBigPlanet 2. It only means that all the updates will be gone and you will be playing the same "game" as it was when you bought it. However, you can't play it online until you download the newest patch again. To do it just re-enter to LBP2. But be sure you delete the right data if you're going to try this. Can't explain anybetter

Even though by doing that you could also use the Overlord Glitch to ace all levels in minutes.

How do you do the overlord again? Its been so long since it got patched that I forgot! I will do it and ace story and 10 levels in a row!

@Tom, do what I said at the previous post. Also, here's another way to "cheat" for that trophy:
Ace one level, take backup of your profile, then just try acing other levels, if you fail, just download the backup and try again.

That's what I did too, and I think everybody else did that. It's pretty impossible to do it "legit". If you try once and fail, you get frustated and don't want to try again.

This has happen to me. It was quite the pain in the neck!

I found it quite easy, I aced it on my second try

I never thought of using backup lol, I did the 10 easiest starting with toughest. But managed after a few tense trys lol
