PS3 Dad w/Kids Looking for Help with LBP 1 Creator Tutorial Vidoes

I have 2 kids who adore LBP1 which we just started playing a few months back. I've had a PS3 since they first came out but had not used it for the last 6 years up until the last few months because I was a victim of the bluray laser issue that plagued original PS3 (fat console) owners. That's where if you actually used the PS3 to watch blurays you all but guaranteed an early death of your PS3 since the bluray reader/lasers in those original systems where cheap/flawed. After having the exact same laser burn out happen with 2 PS3 consecutively (each occurring just outside the warranty) I swore off SONY and the PS3 for their arrogant attitude towards the PS3 owners affected by this. Eventually they got their act together but by that time I was done with them. Recently my kids asked about using the PS3 for LITTLE BIG PLANET and since its PS3 only I had the PS3 fixed and now we enjoy LBP1.

My issue is with the Creator Tutorial Videos in the MY MOON section. I've searched and scoured the net trying to find an answer and have yet to and I've found many asking this same question. I have a feeling the answer is no but I will try here for one last stab at this.

Q: If you have already watched the tutorial videos in MY MOON that the player is automatically prompted for when they enter the MY MOON level(s) in edit mode how do I reset the tutorials so that the user is once again prompted to watch them when entering a level in edit mode?

Q: In the very likely event that the answer to the above is NO or No Way then does anyone know what the correct order is for manually watching the videos (which you can do by opening the popit, selecting the tool bag and then selecting the item/action you want to view a video for and hitting the SQUARE (instead of the X or action button) which lets you then select to watch the accompanying video)?

My kids are very interested in making their own levels and I want very much to let them but with the automated tutorial videos already having been watched once we can't figure out how to reset them or what order to manually watch the videos.

Thanks

I'm not 100% about this, as it's been a good little while since I've played LBP1, but have you tried looking in start menu? Try pressing START and then looking for videos / voice-overs.
Best of luck!

I think your much better off going to LBP2 and LBP3. In those games there's a much easier way to access to tutorials, you just go to Me --> Moon --> and then Tutorials. I don't think you can reset the tutorials in lbp1, but check this guys videos --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=17CggSoGTU0 He has pretty much every tutorial ready to go .

I'd recommend LBP2 or LBP3 as well. They have much more fun tools and options to mess around and create with, and plenty of tutorials too. I'm not sure if LBP3 also contains in-game tutorials but there's plenty to be found here.

Hi! Glad I'm not the only one who has got burned out laser in PS3.

Answer 1: No, it's not impossible, unless you delete profile data which I DO NOT recommend (you'll have to start over the game again) Alternate way to watch the tutorials is in your 2nd question

Answer 2: Yes, that's the alternate method to watch tutorials which I've told already. You have to go into your tools bag/Goodies bag to highlight the tool/item you want to be teached about and then press Square and choose "Watch Tutorial".

Also agree with Woutery. LBP2 and LBP3 are also good sequels to be bought for the PS3 (LBP3 is in the hard fixing so I recommend backing up your profile often to keep it safe.) and are in good price. If your kids are interested then you can buy for them, there are a lot more tools in create mode to mess up with

Hello! Welcome to ! Hope you enjoy your stay!

Yea I'd agree getting LBP2 or LBP3 as well, there are tons more tools to work with! I love LBP2 right now tho, just because LBP3 is still in fixing mode.

The PS3 version of LBP3 has a lot less bugs than the PS4 version, so that's not really a problem to worry about. I'd disagree with it still being "fixed".

your tutorial question has been answered, yay! I disagree with these other yahoos about moving on to LBP2 and 3. Play LBP1 for a good while first. Create with it, get familiar with, enjoy the community levels. Then move over to LBP2 and be freaking blown away with the new tools and what people did with them. Welcome to the club man.
What age are your kiddos? I first got LBP1 when my oldest was 11 and we played it nonstop for ages. Now my twins are 9 and they love the heck out of it.

I kind of agree with Biorogue. I haven't had the joy of playing it with kids, but I did make a point of starting in it and building at least one full level before I let myself move to the other versions. It's fun, it's simple, and it's a great foundation for what comes later.
It's kind of like comparing basic Lego blocks with the advanced sets. Sure you can do more, but there's fun in the simplicity too and all the complex options might be too much for someone just starting out.
