Hey, i have a idea that may help are hubs get more plays! it may be a bad idea but yet it may not! what we should do it put are hub levels like lets say the higher numbers go at the right like 38+ at ends of the level hubs and are lower hubs go on the left like 36- so their for if the players don see any fun levels in the hub they can always enter another hub wiith out needing to return to pod kinda like a chain! i hope you guys get what im talking about but if u dont tell me so i can exsplain it some more, thx.
Edit: even do this for vita hubs! |

I don't understand what you're trying to say. A hub with our hubs in it? Explain it better, maybe we could use your idea.

Thanks for clarifying that Zac!
Not a bad idea, but i think that it would drain the spotlighted level's plays. Like usually people who plays spotlights plays at least one of the levels, we want them to play the levels in that spotlight not go jumping around from spotlight to spotlight giving us plays, we want those plays for the creator. We could try it and see how it affect the plays. |

How do those HUBS work. You guys make a hub and place elvel links of peoples levels in them? Or how does that work? I odtn want to sound noobish or anything but I would like to understand the purpose.

This is an idea right out of the blue, I was thinking that making small simple building contests. Like ones that will make creators rush and make a level. Like for example you guys post a date to post the Contest theme or whatever the contest will comprise nothing complicated. Then the deadline for the entries will will be given out, for example a full weekend. And on Monday at midnight you begin to accept entries till Tuesday to accommodate time differences. The winning prices don't have to be too complicated. Since this will be challenges to make creators improve in the creation of their craft. Like an object like a trophy saying LBForum Rush build contest winner! And bragging right.

Well Will, the hubs are basically our favourite levels that have been posted on littlebigforum! We find the levels, heart them and then add them into the hub. We then publish the hub on LBP for everyone to see! Here, check out our latest one: http://lbp.me/v/qqvcskh Also that contest sounds very interesting! Good idea :3 |

The contest can be made in the hubs themselves tht way its not exclusive to the forums goers
but the people inthe game community can join in the contests as well not just that but may attract attention to the forum itself |

Oh they already have that? I still think that its a good idea it'll motivate people to create.
Not just that but i think that making the contests exclusive to the forums is wrong this kind of thing the community should know about just like creating a level there are things that the player needs to know to them keep playing and motivated and finish the game. The community has died out because of the lack of motivation and the lack of meaning. I will be retiring soon because I have achieved what I wanted to achieve. But I still want the community to stay lively. I did not get to the see the hayday of LBP but I'd like to see the revival. Again I dont think that contests should stay in the forum community. Yea you can have youre own private contests with bigger prizes and all. But there are people that dont know about the forums and they might not have the access to a computer or something but still publish the levels. And wish that here were contests that they could enter. I am not talking about contests that youll win a crown or something like that. Most people just want to be acknowledge for what they have made. Like a well designed game makes a person feel awesome people want to be rewarded for their creativity. The lack of creative thinking has being the cause for the downfall of the community, I cant stress it enough people in game need to know about the contests if you really want a change just like there are news about music galleries and stuff like that. There should be news about small contest events, with prizes that the winner can earn. And prices for participating. It does NOT have to be a crown a created object that can be used as bragging rights will do. And I think I will end my rant there. Edit: I have posted this multiple forums just saying I have seen the same people here as in other forums. :3 |

I think the reason that the vast majority of contests are held on the forums is because of convenience, it would be extremely hard to manage a community contest in game. I mean say the contest got 50 entries. How would these players tell the judges when they published their level? It would be very difficult to keep track of all that information. Also for all the judges to communicate it wouldn't be very easy to just talk through PSN!
But I do agree that a huge part of the LBP community isn't involved with any forums, and it would be nice for them to be able to enter contests as well. I think the only thing that could be done is advertise future contests in game better. This would give people that are not part of a forum a chance to join the site, read the rules of the contest and start building! Also the ps3 can be used as a web browser so it cant be too hard for someone to join the site Also I'm sad to see that you may be retiring from LBP, you seem like a very well minded sack-thing and a positive influence in the community |

Yea all i wanted like i nthe new thread i just made was to let people have fun thru my level I saw what i needed and now I will be on my way to better myself. And I will not be going away. I want to contribute to the community just as it has done for me. I knowthat there are other people like me out there not looking to be picked but looking for a humble goal like to make a kid have fun.
Edit: Thanks for under standing DRL. When you advertise something that peoplewant they will come to u like an ad of a burger in McDonalds it makes you hungry and make u think hmmmmmmm i want tht burger so u go to it. I f you guys really want to expand do what you just said ADVERTISE CONTESTS and SPECIAL events better that is all. I know it aint easy but its for the better! |
