Minecraft 2D

I'm working on 2D remake of Minecraft! Game originaly made by Mojang, that I like it very much, so I decided to rebuild this game in 2D in LBP!

What will Minecraft 2D have?

Menu and HUD

-Dynamic Menu
-Handy Inventory HUD
-Working crafting, chests and furnaces

Main world sizes

-World size - 96 width 64 height (blocks; chunks 6x4)
-8 chests able to use

Save ability

This game will have very huge use of memorizer.
I grouped labels, so you'll know how data will be stored:

1 (Options) + 24 (World Data) + 3 (Player Data) + 22 (Chests and Furnaces Data) = 50 (Minecraft 2D Save Data)

Minecraft 2D will have not only Singleplayer, but Multiplayer too!

I'll try to compress World Data labels. Then I'll be able to make more Players Data labels and more chests.

1 (Options) + 12 (World Data) + 12 (Players Data) + 25 (Chests and Furnaces Data) = 50 (Minecraft 2D Multiplayer Save Data)

This is a bit tricky, since in anyway you do it, only the blocks would take an immense thermo space, stickers or raw materials. Add up the landscaping and the sackbots and you got into a tough situation. Emit and destroy could help a lot with the menus and certain sections of the map.

I would suggest replacing the 8 separate chests with 2-3 ender chests. It would be better for space management and crap.

I will try to make thermo low as much as possible. I use mostly sticker panel to pervent overheating with same stickers. Emmiters will be helpful too for example - appearing and disappearing chunks wherever you go. It is good idea too. But I won't use Sackbot because it can easily get squashed for some reason and it cannot be changed. This suggestion about ender chests may be useful, but I'll rather stay with 8 chests, because there won't be useful things to craft ender chest... yet
