I decided a long time ago that my XVTW series, although underrated, never lived up to even half of its potential. I aim to fix that. I am completely redesigning and reimagining large portions of the series and improving the remaining portions. There will even be a new "underground ruins" sub-level as well as a brand-new "urban apocalypse" stage and possibly a replacement for the subpar space-shooter stage.

Both of these new levels have been pre-mapped out on paper to plan their design, as well as any other new segments I decide to add. Everything will have background, environment and setting once this is complete. Gameplay will also be tighter and less cheap, time wasting, obsolete, unpolished and/or frustrating. This will be done in LBP2 to prove that I can easily do it without LBP3's help. Just about everything I hated about the original XTVW will be gone and there will be new things to love about it. The storyline has even been mildly rewritten.

Just to put the icing on the cake, Chozo Ruins will be added to the soundtrack as BGM for the first level. New Junk City will also be heard in the second level.

not the best choice, if you want it to be the best it can be then re-make it in lbp3

not to mention everyone will be playing lbp3 so more people will play it if you make it there.

Well I'll do it here first just to test my ability to do things without extra tools. Then I'll have it in LBP3 as an LBP2 nostalgia series Besides, I think using eight layers would be unfitting for the theme of the series (realistic/side-scrolling video game homage) if I do say so myself. I'll get LBP3 mainly to play the levels on it as far as I know right now.
