In 3/4 Themes of LBP3 storymode we are supposed to find oddsock, toggle and swoop! And first is PROLOGUE!!!!!! > I hate Lbp3 storymode, even LBP1 storymode was better... ...

I rather enjoyed it. I thought it was witty and I really enjoyed the levels themselves. I had a lot of fun with it and believe that Sumo did a fantastic job. I think LBP3 fits in with the franchise pretty well.

the lbp3 story mode is my favorite thing about lbp3 so far . I honestly got very bored playing lbp2 story. lbp3 was pretty sweet to me

The challenge levels were a waste of space, wich could've been replaced with actual story levels.

Agreeing with nerd_dog:

LBP3 story is pretty good. Better (a lot) than in LBP2, surely. Charakters are sweet and funyy at the same time. Although the story progresses you have the opportunity for themed side-quests, which I really like. Only downside to me: story is too short. It seems a bit like they ended a movie after introducing main-charakters.

I haven't completed the story yet but so far it's pretty fun. Its definitely silly and not overly cinematic, but it makes plenty of sense.

I totally like the LBP3 story levels, they're fun, they're varied, they're well-conceived. Sumo did a really great job (ignoring some still existing bugs)

I also think LBP 3 storymode is worth playing But I find the searching for the orbs to unlock the character monotonous. I'd be better if ways to unlock each character were diffirent, not just.. finding the orbs. Yes the storyline is short, but in LBP franchise, always story mode wasn't the most part.

I personally enjoyed Story (adventure) Mode. The only issue I have with it is the drag racing contraption challenge is broken. Other than that, everything else was really good.

LBP2 had a lot more going for it compared to LBP3. I like the idea of a open world LBP game, just it should of been longer.

Agreed.

It has a great story mode but retrieving orbs over and over again is just tedious.

To be honest, LittleBigPlanet has always had a "prologue" level. They just weren't obvious with it in LBP1 and LBP2. Honestly I thought the story level was well told. The only curator I didn't like was the last one. She was kind of annoying. But I can see why you might say it's annoying due to the length of the story.
So are you saying that past LBP games shouldn't have challenges either? Honestly each LBP game in the past had about 4-5 story levels and a couple challenges. I think its a nice change of pace by focusing on the quality of levels rather than quantity.

Yeah, I hate her.

99% of what I hated about story mode was this curator right here.

Yeah she was pretty terrible. Probably my favorite one was from Manglewood.

I wouldn't say it sucked. My personal rankings:

LBP1 > LBPV > LBP2 > LBP3 > LBPPSP

LBP1 had that charm that was lost in LBP2 when they transitioned into sackbots, microchips, and more plastic fake looking materials. LBP1 almost looked photo-realistic at the time.

I wouldnt compare LBP K to the rest because they are so different. I LOVED how they kind of remixed the materials and music, and characters, to give a game with great fan service, but otherwise Mod Nation Racers was better in every way.

MNR >>>> LBPK

Yeah, Pinky comes across kind of irritating. It seems like the voice actor was trying to imitate Miranda Richardson's Queen Elizabeth from "Black Adder II", so much so I very nearly thought it was her. It just doesn't quite come together for her though.

I agree with most here, that it was fun and interesting, just a little short. I don't recall any "oh brother more of the same" moments in LBP3 like there were in the other 2. LBP1 was charming but very limited. I think most current fondness for it is just nostalgia. LBP2 is more solid, with more flexibility and far more possibilities. LBP3, once it's properly patched, continues down that road.

LBPk managed to hold my attention for a grand total of about 20 minutes, and 10 of that was installing the patches. I'm not going to diss it, but it didn't click with me.

In my opinion:
LBP1:The hardest
LBP2:The Longest
LBP3:The funniest.

Lbp3 story was kinda good. It didn't have cutscenes every 2 levels. It was more true to lbp1 where the creativity is everywhere. The contraption challenges were a cool distraction.

I have to replay the story after fixing my hard drive so yaaaay, I think?

It's the same amount of gameplay you get in any other 60$ game. And plus, you have 9 million community levels to chose from, along with a create mode. So your getting a lot more bang for your buck I guess.

I don't think it sucks. It was actually really fun collecting all the story mode objects and such. I wish the loading times were faster though.

at least it's not as bad a sanic 06. Trust me. I have both lbp3 and sanic 06 and 06 is far worse with loading.

The loading is extremely terrible.

LBP1? Bam, your in a level.

LBP2? Some levels took longer to load, but it was still fast.

LBP3? WHY ARE YOU TAKING SO LONG

I don't think it was worse than the LBP1 storymode, as, well lets admit, the ending was absolutely horrible, but I was hoping for another world in the newtons ship thing at the end.

Instead of it just being put into the swoop world, it could've been it's own world, where it focused on every character for each level, and the player being able to choose between them most of the time. This would be good, as the game just specifically put you with a character, for a certain situation.

Story mode was really fun, it had some good bosses and fun sidequests, and each character has their own boss to fight.

To be honest, I also enjoyed LBP2's story mode more. I'm not hating LBP3's story mode though. It's alright. It's just all a little bit moody and rather dark, with the first level being the only bright level.
