Hey guys my PS3 has got the ylod problem and turns of when I start the console. I watched videos which say that you can fix it if you put your playstation in then oven. Did anyone tested it already or found another methode to fix the ylod? Its sad because it came on the day when I finished my new lvl which took me 2 months and will never be published if I cant fix this ********** ************ ******** *********** ********************** ylod. Answers would help and be nice







(If I cant fix the problem will I leave LBP and spent more time at the gym!!! I will also put like 10 polnish grenates (Böller) in it and film how that shit explodes.)

For those who don't know it: ylod = yellow light of death. a yellow light appears when you start your ps3. I think the ylod online appears on old fat ps3's?! My friend had the same problem and his ps3 crashed, he lost everything. Sorry i dont know if it works but you should try it. Its better to destroy your ps3 in a oven than just standing around in your room. Your ps3 wont be the newest so i would try it

My "fat" PS3 had the same problem. So I got a new PS3.

You should wait some days. Maybe you can play than a little bit longer. I would try to publish all of your levels on your moon but locked. When you have a new ps3 you can copy them from your earth to your moon

On earth he can only publish 20 levels! On a USB Stick over 100 levels!

I had the time to backup my old lbp save. I tried to fix the ylod with yt video. it didnt worked. Now last chance the oven or I will put polnish dynamit in it and let it explode with video.

BTW. I backuped my old lbp data too on my old ps3. But when put the stick into the new ps3 it said that there is no gama data on it. So i would publish the locked levels

Well, don't put it in the oven just yet. You will probably(for sure) lose everything. I wouldn't even try to fix it, if you it did that before, and now does that again, there's a very high chance that if you fix it this time it will break again later. I think the best fix here is buying a new Console, but you'll need some way to backup your files, you can try to put everything on some kind of external memory unit, and if nothing works then you can try to get the whole hard drive out. It'd be always something.

2. There's a possibility that heating up of the PS3 motherboard components will "regenrate the cpu sensors", but it's also possible that you will melt down the circuit connections, which can be a death for the computer(PS3 for this case).

Gah! I got the ylod too luckily my friend had a heat gun so I heated the back of it for 10 mins then it worked again, but only for a month. In that time I saved my profile and transferred it to my new ps3
