STAGE 1 - RECRUITING

Ok people, it looks like many members agreed with the general idea (you can see the idea post here), so I guess it is time to go recruiting !
At first I thought to make this post at many different LBP fansites, but as it is a LBForum proyect, I decided to publish it only in here for now; as we are mainly seeking for LBForum's members, and we can't have too many members in the project, because if we are too many, organization can be a bit difficult.
Anyway, if you know anyone that is interested, also tell him to see this post!

Probably everyone will be accepted, except if we get too many requests. In that case, you will be selected depending on your published levels' quality.

As for the number of participants; let me show you wise words from the awesome creator comphermc, who gave some tips to littlebigplanetarium.com for a level series of theirs that was never done:


So... comphermc surely knows about level creation, so probably there will be:

-1 Story Director. The story will be proposed by all the participants and voted until one is selected; but this guy will supervise that all the level series stays in theme. He will also participate in level building, but a bit less than other members.
-2 Level Designers. They will make sure that the levels aren't extremely different from each other. Remember, this is like a story mode chapter: everything need to feel like the same story.
-1 Art Director. He needs to be really good in decoration stuff, and very creative.
-2-4 more members to help with level creating.

According to this, there will be 6-7 people aside from me in this project (if we don't get enough participants in here, we will have to promote the series in other LBP fansites.). Again, if you want to participate in this project, send me a PM!

Now, about the number of levels:
This matter will be discussed in Stage 2 - Overall Idea Organization; anyway, I was thinking that the levels should be 6: 1 Intro, 4 Levels, and 1 Outro; like a Story mode Chapter. It will also depend on the story of the series. The difficulty will be probably be "medium-hard"; what we are looking for is to make some friendly levels that are a bit more difficult from each other while progressing in the story, but never being too hard like to make players get really stressed .

Recruiting will be active through today (July 26th)-(July 31st); you surely have plenty of time to tell your friends and registering! Also, if you live in a different country and your time zone is quite different from other members, don't worry! We will make creation teams depending on your time zone. Just be aware that I will be talking to you guys in the time zone: (GMT -6:00) Central Time (US & Canada); Mexico City. Just so you don't get confused in time zones jeje! We won't have strict deadlines, though, so don't worry much about your timezone and dates.

@BillyCrash100: If you want to be in; it doesn't matter that you live in Europe ; you can work with other European teammates, and work in your respective time zone. Actually everyone except me seems to live in Europe jeje.
@LittleBigForum: The theme/story of the levels should be something about LBForum; it can be any story related to the forum that the participants will make-up. About the objects and the sackboy on the head; that would be a really good detail for the levels! Specially because people usually see him in the LBForum Episodes. Also, as this is to get more members, there will be some advertising of the forum of course.

@Jaeydan: Consider yourself in too! We will choose Art Directors, Level Designers, etc. when we have all the members for the proyect, anyway, I really like your level's art, so you can be a great candidate for Art Director.

Can I be the Level Designer?

And are we going to have a account for all the levels to go on? It would be a lot better if we did because players wouldn't be needing to go from earth to earth to find the right level.

I want to help but I can't create a new account, my list is full!
I help with building levels.

The account is created! It is called LBFLevelSeries (thanks Deka1357); so we will have another guy for "Planet Decoration", because right now it looks like a LBP1 planet. Anyway, maybe I'll just ask the admin. to decorate it somewhat like the official LBForum planet, but maybe somebody goes creative and makes an awesome design.
