Easiest ways to get noticed: fun levels that aren't necessarily detailed or require complicated logic (multiplayer survivals are great for that), very detailed scenes, good music presented in a cool way (Perfect for co-creation with multitalented friends), comedic movies (dumbed down sillyness isn't comedy).
I personally never tried any of those because I succeeded to get a decent amount of attention by creating platformers with original gameplay decent logic (which has neatly evolved for my LBFC3 entry) and I now have taken a particular interest for detailed scenery so when I published "Vcorp's downfall" I gained mass recognition of my work.Heres a video if you haven't played it yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MQ4Y4aWQk8 Best tip I can give you is to be unique, I only have 2 playable levels atm,yet I have 464 hearts ,but when I think about it I've never seen levels quite like mines so I guess that creativity and uniqueness are the way to go. |

Being unique is the best way to go. As unique as it can be will make wonders happen. If you could do something that hasn't been done before on LBP2 (There are many things which haven't been done), you will succeed. Just don't get corrupted whilst doing so.

As I have said many times, I have also made a very unique series of levels that hardly ever gets any recognition. I am grateful for every play I get. I really don't care about MM Picks anymore. I just want community support. I've been desperately playing friends' levels, but it seems like this game is sort of dying. I've put up an advertisement on LittleBigForum and LittleBigPlanetarium. Any suggestions?

Being a popular creator can be nice and all, but look at the real purpose of your creating. Don't create levels to please other people, that takes away much of your imagination and unique ability. Create for you, for the love of what you're making. I find that is the best way to go about it. If you are truly creating out of a free and happy heart, people will find that, and feed off of it when they play your level. Popularity comes with time and effort. To start, you can try posting your levels on a few different LBP forums. I'm not sure how many are still very active, but it will be worth the shot on the ones that do still have some life left. Good luck!

I have put an interesting amount of creative effort into my series, into my series, and even though a lot of the design had a lot of terrible and crippling flaws, I just recently ironed out nearly every major flaw, making it arguably really fun. There's a solid variety of strengths that each level has.
INTRO: parody of Metal Gear Solid https://lbp.me/v/jwtxgt PART 2: feels like LBP1 on steroids PART 3: has a very wide variety of challenging gameplay PART 4A: parody of Meet The Spy PART 4B: feels disturbingly Metroid-ish in general PARTS 5 & 6: Linear "puzzle" platformers with a Metroid-style atmosphere BOSS BATTLE: FALCON PUNCH!!! PART 7A & 7B: Fake ending with a creepy twist followed by another boss battle (this boss has been fixed) SELF-DESTRUCT SEQUENCE: The spaceship is going to explode. RUN!!! BONUS ENDING: parody of Zelda: Wand Of Gamelon I'm not begging, but please give it a chance. It's not aiming to be a MM Pick or a generic fast-paced obstacle course. It's just a unique, interesting, and strange adventure that came directly from my imagination. Other creators like you should follow this advice, but make sure to back it up with some decent advertising. |

This is not the place to advertise your level. If you would like to do so.. do it here.

Although there are some great creators... i think having over 3 mm picks is a little bit unfair to others... but thats just my opinion.

Honestly, sometimes is just about luck.
NUMEROUS famous creators such as steve_big_guns, xSLEVENx, StevenI, SnakeOwl, and se-mi92 have played my level leaving a yay and a heart. Yet, I only have a low 288 plays or so. I've co-created a few MM picks with friends and watched my friends level's flourish so what I can say is this. Every truly amazing level WILL get its moment, whether it be through and MM Pick a crown or something else. Be patient. |

Actually, I'm starting to get a good little deal of support ever since I signed onto LittleBigForum. Just be a good and helpful person and put a good effort into whatever you make, and eventually, as long as this game still has some life left in it, you should start seeing some community support and friends...hopefully. It'll take a WHILE though

Like I said, it happens different for every person.
My friend marpolo was making a new level, he had virtually no plays and like 40 creator hearts. He publishes the level, and the next day he gets picked. BOOM! Progress baby. |

Actually, I have just over 300 total plays on all of my levels combined so far. That's pretty crappy considering that my series has about 10 "parts" (levels + cutscenes) and most people ignored the later levels.

A friend of mine had created two fantastic music levels and nearly nobody noticed them! After some weeks each one had about 50 plays! And then someone told StevenI about one of the levels and so one of his levels got a Tunesday-pick! Within one week this level has got more than 5000 plays and the second level more than 1000 plays!^^ If a level is really good then all bets are off!^^

Don't forget to stop by other people's levels on Little Big Forum and play them. That will make them happy, although I'm very sick of playing generic scenic platformers.
