I was going to continue work on my stage, however when I got on, the floor textures and most of the background was missing. This hasn't affected the stage itself but it feels akward to play on a stage made of air. I wouldn't mind so much except the beginning of the stage is on the ground.

Just imagine this: Bunkum lagoon without the sea floor. That's my problem. do any of you have suggestions?

hopefully you didn't try to use the very back layers. there has been issues with that

If your level is complicated, the game basically just turns your background into air. With all of the objects in that background gone. If you got any warnings about overheating and such, then that happens.

It happened to me once, but I don't think there is any way to cure it other then changing your level a bit.

Actually, I think that really is the problem. I remember it happening to another level some time ago that had the same conditions
