I understand that my XVTW project was a failure at first (underwhelming introduction scene with no explanation of what happened before it, sucky Part 2, pointless villain-boasting scene, overeager advertising by the creator, annoying cliffhanger ending, one-hit-kill final boss battle, underdeveloped level design in several parts, etc.) anyway, you get the idea.
Now, all that stuff has been fixed. It is a surprisingly well-written and imaginative platformer series with creative settings and a solid portion of gameplay. It's about traveling between the video-game dimension and real-life (and saving both dimensions from chaos, obviously) so if you like video-games, you may be pleased by the edgy atmosphere and nostalgic soundtrack.
New improvements: alternate ending path for the self-destruct escape level. new pre-intro level complete with a bicycle and a direct level link to the intro scene. Part 2 is replaced by a way better level that actually fits well into the story and takes place in the space station after the space-shooter level, complete with a jukebox. Part 5 is polished up quite a bit. space-shooter level is now a sub-level. "Final boss" now requires actual firepower to kill. Part 3...well, Part 3 is still pretty much the same as ever, but its purpose in the plot has been changed to remove that obnoxious "evil-bragging" cutscene. etc.
Please understand that I'm just being honest here. I want to be satisfied knowing that this series has officially been wrapped up, with all the loose ends tied up. Please try to enjoy it while you can.
