output on level links

Can they be used to trigger logic when a player comes though a certain one such as an adventure map level or are these like the blaster handle inputs where they don't actually do anything

oh wow.. I actually never noticed this. anyone have a clue what an output on a level link would do?

It would probably detect if Player is going through level link or.. It could detect if someone will spawn at level link.

well obviously the output would activated once the link is being used but the question is, what can the outputted signal be used for? possibly for a memorizer?
