this is a new adventure that i will be making on lbp3 ps3 till my ps4 comes back (had a hard drive failure)

the basis of this rpg is that you are a recruit on a mercenary ship that travels the galaxy looking for rare artifacts and explore planets

the central level will be sort of like a hub in a top down mode, you can fly your ship around the whole level and there will be places to explore such as docking stations where you can trade your found items for points, these can then be used to upgrade your ship with new weapons, engines, computer chips ect or you can buy a new ship

when you have built up enough money to upgrade your ships engines you will be able to enter hyperspace, doing so will take you to a new level with new planets and places to explore

your ship will have a limited fuel supply so every no and again you will have to find a depo to refuel your ship

some parts of the galaxy will contain hostiles, you will be warned by the onboard computer if you stray near a hostile zone, entering the zone will cause the people in it to engage you in battle and will try to drive you out of their teritory so be ready for a fire fight

if you jump to a planet then a landing sequence will initiate where you will have to land on the planet surface. during the landing you will have to keep your ship level to prevent it exploding under the gravity from the planet. all ships are fitted with "retro thrusters" which you will have to time just right ias they will overheat over time fire them too early and you will pick up speed again and hit the planet surface to hard and crash, fire them too late you will also hit the ground to hard resulting in a crash. if you crash then you will lose points

there will be a story side to this rpg as well as the free roam, the command ship in the centre of the hub will have missions for you from time to time such as supply drops, escort jobs and every now and again if you have enough fire power the galactic rangers will ask you to help them in a fire fight

there will be diffrent zones in each galaxy you visit, friends allow you to land on their base/area and trade with them, neutral places will require you to perform tasks for them before you can land so that they can gain your trust. hostile zones require you to go in guns blazing to take the place by force, if you get on the good side of the galactic rangers then you can call them in for support for a small fee for additional firepower if you are finding a place difficult to take

if you start to stray towards the end of the level then the auto pilot will take over and take you back into the level

there are various computer upgrades for your ship. these can be anything from faster processors to increase computer power which will speed up all other on board equipment such as weapons guidance and thruster response times. there are also chips such as the sonar chip which helps with landing the ship by telling you when to activate the thrusters for landing to prevent a crash

you will start with a some money, enough for you to buy some parts for your ship and fuel. if you run out of fuel when your in space and are unable to get to a depo in time then you will have to call the recovery service which will tow you to the nearest depo and charge you a collection cost plus a millage fee but if you have friends in the area then you may be able to get them to come pick you up for a cheaper cost

i am looking forward to this project and i know this is a lot to take in, now that i have lbp3 for the ps3 i will be able to work on both systems when my ps4 comes back so no matter what system your on you can drop in at any time and see where im up to, if im not online then just send me a message im most likely to pick it up on my phone and will send you a status update on progres

my psn is - blockbuser95

many thanks for taking the time to read all of this, sam

yeah sorry about that typo made a few of them in the post i think, got a draft for a basic version of the ship, how much you hold the R2 button determines the speed at which you ship moves, pull it a little for slow speed, useful for docking with a station or refueling, hold it all the way down for speed, this will burn more fuel and depending on your current engine type may lead to them overheating and needing to cool down but will be useful for getting out of a fire fight if your shields are down and you are low on supplies

Hahaha Sam, I have my problems imagining all the functions of your controls, I always have to see the things before me and try them with my controller! And you can do as much typos as you want, but a typo in your account name is a problem, if someone wants to search you on PSN. Ok, to the community: samuasp's PSN is blockbuster95 !
Have a Happy Easter and many greetings, Jürgen^^

And if your level is ready for being tested, then tell me!

haha i know should probably turn a light on so i can see the keyboard properly ill try and get the hub done as quick as possible ah yeah thats true, im still looking at diffrent control types ect just find one people find easy to use. would it be a good idea to give people thw option to invert the controls such as the joysticks as i know people sometimes change these on other games such as call of duty, skyrim ect so that the look is inverted ?

happy easter and hope you have a good time

two ships have been designed, one is called titan and the other is called odyssey. the titan is the ship you will start with, it has no shield, its hull is made of iron, there is an on-board computer, it does not have hyper-drive capabilities so you can move between levels with it, it has an auto gat anti missile defense system (25mm) which acts as a counter measure to incoming missiles. its engines are air cooled and are powered by twin ion engines.

the odyssey has a mag shield, it costs 5000 points to purchase the ship, its hull is made of steel, it has a ICBM defense system which releases a swarm of missiles which deploys when the hull integrity is below 15%, its hull is made of steel, there is an on-board super computer which has a pre-installed auto system which can fly the ship and operate its external parts. it has two plasma induced engines that never need to be refueled however there are two coolant tanks at the side of the ship which cool the engines one for each side, when the coolant is drained the engine will stop working however if you continue to use the engine then then it will explode. this ship is fitted with a MK-II hyper drive so can take you to other levels

i also have the menu setup for the when you first start the game, ill throw everything into a level with a code so you guys can have a look at the different items ive made so far and how its coming along sort of like a showcase
