Hey guys! I was just wondering how 3d movement will make sonic levels better. Usually lbp2 sonic levels are sidescrollers. I'm wondering how 3d movement will make sonic levels more 3d.

Do you mean 3D in LBP3? You could probably recreate games like sonic hero and maybe some of the newer sonic games, i know i'm going to try to recreate a super mario 64 level when i get my hands on the new LBP3!

I've seen a lot of potential on lbp3 . Alexio was the first I think on the beta but he made a chip with the broadcast chip that lets your sackperson freely move between layers. that means no hoping in and out of layers. Also top down movement is nice too, I can see a lot of potential for 3D platformers there.

The one thing is cameras. we don't know yet if they're going to add 3D cameras or not but that doesn't mean no 3D platformers. It just means people have to build the levels to work with the available camera views ( hopefully they just add the dang 3D cams ).

The thing is, we don't really need 3d cameras. This guy in the beta already made a 3d rotatable cam.
