Is it just me?

I don't know if it's true but I think some players forget to rate levels.
And I don't mean sometimes, i mean that there's some great
levels that are sadly barely known and there's 100 plays and only 20 yays and like only 1 review...

Is it just me? I feel like it's what's happening.

Hi Pan, maybe you're right, but maybe there are other reasons! Recently I've played some levels and couldn't leave any review because the review-button wasn't enabled, so I had to go to the comments section to leave my reviews there. In some other levels when reaching the score board, I was ejected without any possibility to leave a yay, heart or review. I had to enter the level once again and end it by using the options-button to get to the review-menu to leave my yay, heart or review.
But theres always been lots of players never leaving any reviews!

Many greetings, Jürgen^^

Yes, it's weird. I can't review some levels too. I wonder why.

Hahaha, probably PSN has got infected with a little Mogwai! Who loves to monkey about! And cause I've found him out, now he's moved into my home network! Today my internet is connected and disconnected every two minutes! This is rather impractical, so Mogwai! Leave this monkey business, or I will get really annoyed! ...
...I'm not sure whether this will help! WE`ll see!

Many greetings, Jürgen^^

well.. the drop-down scoreboard in lbp3 doesn't help things. it just tells you to press x and you exit the level without the screen pausing to remind you. and some people are being forced to use the drop down board because of an issue with regular scoreboards not activating. I think it's a good thing to remember to yay a level that you believe deserves it and to watch out for drop-down boards. remember to pause when you see one.

but as for people not caring enough to leave a "yay" whether it's good or not, they should remember the time and effort that most likely went into what they just played.. not yaying is the equivalent to leaving a boo in my opinion ... which of coarse, if someone doesn't like or appreciate the level then sure.. guess that's how it goes

What usually happens is I play a level with people, and while I'm yaying it, they just leave it blank and it says that they're waiting to return to pod. I guess people don't really care about rating and reviewing. They just want to play and have fun.

As @nerd_dog said, I believe it may be something to do with the progress board.

This lack of ratings has always been a problem but they got more noticeable thanks to LBP3 which has features with no review or rate options. I honestly don't care if I get a neutral face, because all the yays that will sooner or later accumulate outweighs any potential negative feelings after getting some neutral faces in a row. Stay positive, advertise and spread your level around forums and you will get proper feedback with honest criticism.

Yea.. just go look at R-V-2-0-1-3's Firefly Ruins. great level but the heart/yay to play ratio is jacked. he actually had to use the drop down board because the level glitched or something.. it wouldn't let him use a normal scoreboard. there's even positive reviews on the level with neutral faces next to them (plus it has more hearts than yays).

Bottom line.. Sumo really needs to start patching their stuff better. Some of us (like me) have been very patient. But it's about time that this stuff be fixed. it's been over 4 months now

How the review buttons disables is annoying. You'd have to progress through at least half of and sometimes the entire level in order to enable it. I'm sure that it has to do with cutting down on spam, but the button usually glitches and its behavior is just plain annoying.

It is easier to turn those settings on and off on LBP.me, you could try that. But how few care about rating at all is interesting. Even in LittleBigPlanet 2, it was slightly uncommon, so that piled upon with the Drop-Down Scoreboard, makes it very uncommon to have reviews or opinions. I make sure to at least 'Yay/' if I like a level, even if I have to play the level again and press 'Start' and give my opinions.

i'm a bit more generous. basically, i'll yay anything I think is somewhat decent. and i'll heart anything that I think was done pretty darn well. even if it's not really my taste. the new biggie for me is playlists.. i'll only put a level in one of my playlists if I really, really like it.
