The way the Latest Activity is laid out is confusing. The username after "by" under the name of the thread is the username of the person who last replied to the thread, but it appears to newcomers as if that was the OP.

hmm. yea. I did prefer the old recent activity thing they had. it was also a lot bigger. they may change this in the future

Maybe more people should post here, what is important for them before we change it...

For me, I like the names of the last one posted in this thread, helps me, but I would prefer to be linked to the last page of the thread... But of course, if you never heard of this thread, a link to the first page would be better... hmmm...

What I miss is an overview of unread threads / posts...

yes. I miss that too.

and what I missed about the previous "Recent Activity' was that it was fairly big, meaning that I could usually visit then come back the next day and easily see everything that was posted during that time.

Ok, today I changed the "Latest Activity", now you have more topics and it will jump to the last post...

ah. I wasn't even aware of the "portal" option or what it did. it actually displays thing really well if you select " view new posts". I think it works great but I think people might get confused on where to find it and what "portal" means when they see it
