I swear this time, this is the final update to this series. Everything we've all been waiting for has happened. One of the most unique and ambitious projects in LBP trilogy history has officially lived up to at least 80% of its potential. Yes, the new Part 2 is WAY too short and easy. However, everything more or less flows like it should and is actually fun to play now.

The level design has seen numerous refinements, the graphic design is actually pretty solid now, the overall gameplay is better than you would ever imagine this series being, the soundtrack is even better than before, the storyline/narrative is more realistic now, and the new opening stages are incredibly well-made, especially the first one.

There is even a short but sweet new challenge level that you must complete in order to reach the ending. Both the level itself and the background music are a reference to Buttville's infamous opening sub-level from Earthworm Jim (Use Your Head), so you will be rapidly descending through a tunnel of instant death spikes and electric surfaces. The music in this level is absolutely godly, and you can win it by either completing the level or "stealing" it from my gallery. The level is a lot easier than it looks.
There is now only one cutscene level in the series (not counting the intro), and both the quantity and quality of the overall gameplay have been greatly upgraded. The creepy Super Metroid item room music is still overused, but not as much as before.

With more levels, better music, better characters, less dialogue, a more engaging background storyline narrative, better graphics, even creepier environments, better level design and a hell of a lot better pacing, XVTW: TTS has become one of the best and most overlooked/underrated LBP2 level series of all time.

And although I've called the series "complete" a bunch of times in the past, I pretty much mean it this time.

P.S. The music gallery is even being expanded with a few Megaman tunes. The Elecman arrangement is hit-or-miss, but the Megaman 2 stage select music arrangement is spot-on. And as I have said above, the new updated arrangement of the Use Your Head level theme from Earthworm Jim is just amazing.

If you're ever planning to play some LBP2 levels, you should visit my planet at some point. This series really is one of the best and most unique things LBP2's level editor has produced, and it all started out as a pathetic adaptation of some god-awful story I wrote for English Fluency class about two years ago.
