When I put the disc into my PS3 it will load everything fineuntil it attempts to load the pod up. It will do the loading animation then freeze after 1-2 seconds. It's an annoying game breaking glitch and i've been asking on 2 other forums but the threads have 0 replies. I've tried:

Restarting PS3
Restoring File system
Rebuilt Database
Checked disc for dust and scratches (there were none)
Deleted and reinstalled game data
Waited to see if it unfreezes

Any help is appreciated

If your screen turned black before it froze, I might have had a similar issue, but on the contrary, for me it was an online multiplayer issue and did not keep happening, only once. So, I have no idea. Have you tried contacting Sony, Sumo_Digital, or StevenI? You could email it to their support email:

I've had a problems with LBP3 appearing code error 80040514 instead launching game. I found that there's mechanical issue in my PS3 after I replaced laser (it was too far to reach the data). I lifted laser a little and works stunningly. But I don't know what is happening to you. Maybe you have faulty laser like me earlier?

Well it magically worked after it continued to glitch for 3 months. Thanks anyway for your replies.
