So today, I preordered LBP3 for PS3 on BestBuy. I would normally wait for a while after release until the price goes down to buy it, but the preorder apparently came with some free dlc which I though was cool and launch day stuff, so the extra amount of money I'd have to pay would be worth it. However, for some reason, Amazon shows three different versions of LBP3 for preorder. Standard, Launch Day, and Plushy (<<irrelevant). So apparently Launch Day is a completely different version of LBP3 with different box art but costs the same price. And it's only available in Launch Day for PS4! Completely confusing. Am I going to get the free DLC and launch day t-shirt if I preorder standard or do I need to buy Launch Day version in order to get it? And why is the launch day version only for PS4? It's all so confusing. Official images on the internet clearly state "Preorder today and get bonus DLC!". Does that mean that I can preorder any version and get the DLC or do I need Launch Day version which is only available for the dang PS4? I'm about to cancel the order to save myself some trouble. Dafuq Sumo Digital!

First of all, this is not a scam. Right, now I can try and help, the Launch day edition most likely comes with a few bonus DLC's but the Rare Launch-Shirt is most likely not one of them, this is because the Rare Launch shirt is sold only within the first week of launch on the PS Store, to give a code away people will still be able to get the shirt weeks or months after the launch week. The launch day version will probably consist of all dlc, however, the PS3 version of the game does NOT give you pre-order DLC, this I believe is a way of pushing a small number of people towards the PS4 version.

Woooww...that's kind of disappointing. Don't you think it's kind of unethical to post two images like this then secretly release TWO versions of the game to preorder, with only one coming with the DLC even though you can preorder BOTH? http://media1.gameinformer.com/imagefeed...fbbd4902c_z.jpg https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3916/1459...e0fe6276b_z.jpg Media Molecule didn't try to pull off this shiz. They gave you the DLC with your preorder like they said they would, not with a dumb, different version. One thing I don't get is LBP3 PS4 and LBP3 Launch Day PS4 cost the same. Don't order the normal version if you're getting it for the PS4!

They're most likely trying to shake off all the people still grasping the PS3

Just a couple of days ago I was talking to a long-time LBP player on PSN who didn't even know there was a PS3 version. There seems to be a lack of clarity about this stuff. I think some people that pre-order are gonna get burned.
